The practice of Yoga and Meditation has transcended time because it taps into the connected nature of human beings and all things. Yoga means ¨union¨ and is made up of an 8 limbed path incorporating daily rituals and practices of traditional stretching poses, meditation, and purposeful self-study, leading to harmony with your inner Self (Diamond), and the world around you.
Yoga incorporates non-duality between the mind and body cultivating inner peace, relief from physical injury and tension, health improvement (lower cholesterol and blood pressure), and emotional healing from depression, hormonal imbalance, trauma, PTSD, and substance abuse, along with the ability to manifest your future!
Now for how Yoga Classes saved my life...:
I was lost. At the bottom of hole of negativity and shame. I had a mental illness- clinical depression and anxiety, which I had no idea how to recognize, and I was faking it through my life- one bottle of Chardonnay at a time. When I could find my way to a yoga studio, I would find healing every time. I kept coming back. I love the connection and the letting go all at once. The surge of heat and friction during intese poses and the senual ¨ahhhh¨ of Savasana. The mat, Yoga, is where I came to release when I could. It called to me. I could connect with the little girl inside of me. I was found on the mat every time I took class. As my wellness journey continued, I ate foods for nourishment more often, I stopped drinking, and I did the work. I began therapy again and found medication to be a saving grace. During the pandemic, I was a gold fish in my apartment, and, once again, it was yoga, where I found relief. (I am happy to talk about my story more in depth, so please don´t hesitate to ask anything.) For now, I will leave you with this thought:

Opera singer and Colorado native, Tammy Moore, found healing and rebirth through Yoga and Meditation and is bringing the compassionate healing tools to you through the virtual My Diamond Yoga Studio. Tammy is a Certified 200 hr Yoga Teacher; receiving her training from My Vinyasa Practice in Austin, TX. Tammy´s unique performing journey began at the young age of 7, staring in her first community theater production. She attended The Juilliard School for her Bachelor´s education and The Curtis Institute of Music performing professionally at top opera houses around the country.
Beginning her wellness journey with a vegan diet, talk therapy, support meetings, medical plants, Tammy began to heal. She tried yoga sporadically, throughout, and each time it appeared on her path, it gave nourishment. Finally, after several doctors, continued clean eating, Tammy found the daily study of yoga to be the connecting fibers of her web. And, guess what?! Yoga means union; it is the practice of integration and holistic wellness. Yoga also illuminates the individual silks in our own webs and helps us to find understanding and compassion for ourselves, others, and the planet along the way. Yoga helps to align and give energy and rebirth all while coming home.
All this makes for a better you, a better me, and a better world.
Tammy is continuing her yoga 300 hr. training with My Vinyasa Practice in Austin, Tx. She aims to employ compassionate inclusivity as an essential part of her being and aim through yoga, and is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community.
